The Velocity vehicle barrier was recently installed at Absa bank’s Auckland Park HQ. In total 6 barriers were installed, with some being fitted with Turnstar’s ‘extra clearance’ jack-knife system which ensures extra height opening for vehicles. The Velocity offers high speed operation, sub 1.2 seconds and a superior torque and speed curve due to the state of the art BLDC planetary geared motor system and controller. Collision detection and battery backup are also sold as standard with the velocity barrier. Custom design reader/intercom goosenecks were also manufactured for ease of access into and out of the building.
