The multimillion Rand computer laboratory and lecture hall for Africa’s most prestigious university, WITS, recently chose the Turnstar TITAN security turnstile. The security turnstile is installed at the main entrance and provides access to over 150 students at a time. The turnstile was supplied with a 304 grade brushed stainless steel finish which provides a highly aesthetic security turnstile solution together with great corrosion resistance. The turnstile is set for fail-secure (auto lock on power failure) for entry and fail-safe (auto unlock on power failure) for exit, ensuring that during a fire alarm, safe unrestricted exit is allowed and the integrity of the laboratory security is maintained.
