Prestige hotel development, The Houghton, recently replaced existing barriers at all of their vehicle entrance lanes with Turnstar Velocity Raptor spike barriers. A total of 6 barriers were installed, all offering ultra high speed operation together with the reliability of battery backup in the event of load shedding or power failure. The old barriers, manufactured by a competitor, were of old technology and were not power efficient and supported by battery backup. Together with all the Velocity Raptor’s outstanding features were the OPTIC LED barrier arms which offer great aesthetics and increased safety and visibility.
