Swakopmund Uranium mine in Namibia recently purchased 15 TRIUMPH single turnstiles in order to control access into the plant. The mine, which is still under construction, required a portable access control solution which could handle up to 10 000 workers per day. Turnstar was chosen due to our long track record in providing turnstiles which can handle the harsh mining conditions of dust, dirt and vandalism.
The turnstiles were installed in three 40 foot shipping containers which had been refurbished to the mine’s specification and the containers were delivered to site 3 weeks after receiving the order.
