Turnstar recently manufactured and installed two automatic revolving doors at the Booysens magistrate court in Gauteng, South Africa. The consultant for the project added an additional challenge. The glass was to be a mix of 33mm curved and flat glass, providing a high level of balistic protection. Turnstar fitted a high performance composite glass solution providing up to AK47 protection. Special care was taken to ensure that the motor and gearbox would be able to provide sufficient torque as well as safe operation with immediate stopping on the activation of a safety edge.
