Turnstar recently manufactured four ATLAS access controlled revolving doors at a prestigious bank head office in South Africa. The ATLAS revolving door is usually used as a draft block, however, Turnstar is able to fit a turnstile mechanism to the rotor and make use of a pressure mat in order to turn the ATLAS into a SECURITY revolving door. At this site, the frame was manufactured from 304 grade stainless steel and then powder coated. Curved and flat toughened glass was used for the outer drum and the internal rotor. Brushes were fitted to the glass wings in order to create a draft block between the internal and external environments of the building.
