The multi-million Rand development offers exquisite views of the Houghton golf course together with uncompromising levels of security. Turnstar was tasked with providing a secure wheelchair friendly access point for staff into the hotel’s administrative areas. The Semi-Automatic Special Needs Gate was chosen for its aesthetics, functionality and ease of use. Locking is achieved by means of a solenoid operated locking mechanism and once the pedestrian has passed the threshold, the gate closes automatically using the embedded hydraulic floor spring door closer.
