When Woolworths head office in Cape Town wanted to upgrade their existing physical access control system, they decided to go with Turnstar Systems – a leading provider of solutions for secure access control. The old tripod type waist height turnstiles were replaced with special custom design Dynamic Drop Arm Barriers. This solution was chosen for its ability to handle a high volume of people, providing both an aesthetically pleasing and cost-effective security barrier. In order to make the installation seamless, the cabinets had to be modified to cover the existing floor area where the old turnstiles had been installed – this was all done using 304 grade brushed stainless steel.
In total, 6 drop arm lanes were installed at Woolworths head office in Cape Town by Turnstar Systems’ experienced team of engineers.
