Maputo Central Prison has been taking its security measures to new levels with the installation of a brand new double mantrap security booth from Turnstar. Specifically manufactured and supplied for the high security holding cell area, the mantrap offers unprecedented protection for the 48 inmates in 24 cells. To ensure complete security, the mantrap cubicle has been modified to include double layer steel sheets, replacing the usual glass infill doors. Despite this, small laser cut holes in the steel sheets provide both ventilation and visibility, making for a secure but not entirely isolating entrance. Through this innovative solution, Turnstar continues to pioneer advancements in prison security, making even the most difficult jail environments safer and more secure.
