Turnstar Systems, a leading provider of physical access control solutions, recently manufactured and installed three Speedgate Secure lanes for the Capitec head office in Cape Town. The company supplied the lanes with 1 200mm high glass to ensure a safe yet visually appealing entrance solution. Turnstar Systems even went as far as modifying the cabinet design to allow for seamless integration of access control readers. The installation included two 550mm wide lanes and one 900mm wide lane, which can accommodate deliveries and wheelchairs. The system is fitted with a sensor array along the length of the cabinets to ensure pedestrians’ safety while passing through the gate. Once a valid entry or exit is completed, the glass wings immediately close, ensuring absolute security in compliance with Capitec’s security requirements.
