Turnstar Systems has its own in-house powder coating plant at its 7 700 square meter factory in Johannesburg. Having such a critical process in the manufacture of turnstiles under the company’s control provides the customer with true peace of mind that the surface coating will last and no premature corrosion or peeling will occur. Turnstar’s plant is audited annually as part of the company’s ISO9001:2015 certification and a full variety of colours is available upon customer request. The key to the quality of the plant is the 7-stage chemical pretreatment which includes a degreaser, acid and phosphate. Two rinse tanks separate each process tank in order to minimize cross contamination.
