Accenture, the global management & technology consultancy, has recently ordered an ATLAS automatic revolving door from Turnstar Systems.
The 2.1m diameter 3 wing automatic revolving door is to be installed at the revamped entrance to Accenture’s head office in Woodmead, Johannesburg. The door will be fitted with a state-of-the-art motor drive, gearbox and PLC controller which controls the rotation of the door and all safety aspects. Safety edges will be fitted to the entrance uprights.
The revolving door is replacing the existing automatic sliding aluminium doors which allow air to flow into the building during operation. That meant a loss of warm air in winter and a loss of cool air in summer from the building. A revolving door prevents air flow into and out of the building, thereby minimising energy loss and providing a green alternative.
