Turnstar was commissioned by the City of Johannesburg for the manufacture and installation of four hydraulic automatic barriers at the flagship Alexandra to Sandton bridge. The multi-million Rand bridge connection project required bollards at the entrance of the bridge in order to prevent general public access and to allow seamless access for Bus Rapid Transit vehicles. The 275mm diameter bollards are 800mm high and are manufactured from 304 grade brushed stainless steel. Vandal proof fixings were used for the bollard mounting and the electronic control panels were neatly installed in custom manufactured traffic lights beside each lane of bollards.
