Revolving doors are a great tool for creating a draft block between the internal environments and external environments of a building. However, few realise that a revolving door spinning at high speed can be extremely dangerous. Even a manual revolving door, if spun by hand, can reach very high speeds and can cause serious injury, especially to small children. All Turnstar ATLAS Manual Revolving Doors are fitted with a speed controller to prevent the door from over speeding. At high speeds, the speed controller increases the amount of resistance and absorbs the extra energy.
