Turnstar recently completed the installation of 12 Talon Tyre-Spike Vehicle Barriers at the new takealot.com head office in Plumbago, Le Cap. Takealot.com has recently undergone a major expansion program, including the takeover of South African favourite, Kalahari.com. In order to keep up with current company growth, a new warehouse was in order and Turnstar was tasked with providing the vehicular security for the multi-million Rand warehouse.
Le Turnstar Talon Barrière was supplied in 3m lengths to protect the twelve vehicular entrances and exits. The Talon Barrier is unique in that it provides protection from vehicles traveling in any direction due to its double sided spike. All the barrier components are supplied in powder coated 3Cr12 stainless steel which is ideal for the corrosive Cape environment. Each barrier is fitted with a red/green traffic light which ensures vehicle safety as the light only changes from red to green once the spikes are in the down position and the barrier arm is in the up position.
