Turnstar recently commissioned its own in-house electroplating plant. Electroplating involves the cleaning and then zinc coating of steel components for corrosion protection. The zinc coating sacrifices itself when the steel is attacked by corrosive salts and increases product longevity. The electroplating plant amounts to a R600 000 investment and will provide our customers with shorter lead times and increased quality.
