Turnstar Systems recently completed a successful project to provide road blockers for a multi-national mining house in Gauteng South Africa. A total of 3 SHIELD road blockers were manufactured and installed, each measuring 5 meters wide with a lifting height of 1000mm. This powerful solution provides extensive protection from any potential vehicle raid, forming an essential part of the mine’s defence system against such threats.
The road blockers were produced using high quality materials, including hot-dip galvanised structural steel sections and laser cut mild steel supports. To ensure safe and reliable raising and lowering operations, Turnstar Systems installed a 4kW hydraulic power pack with soft start inverters and PLC controllers.
