Turnstar Systems was chosen to supply turnstiles for both the Labour Party conference in 2008 and the Conservative Party conference in 2009. The TITAN turnstile was chosen due to its increased level of security and its aesthetic appeal. Both conferences used a total of 16 turnstiles. Due to the short term nature of the event (it is run over a period of a few days) the turnstiles were supplied with hot dip galvanised steel mounting plates which provided a temporary yet stable fixing solution.
