Libridge is a prestigious building located in Braamfontein, Johannesburg and belongs to Liberty, an icon of the South African insurance (and nowadays property) business. The multistory building recently underwent a massive modernisation upgrade and all of the fourteen floors and 10 elevators were refurbished. Turnstar was chosen to provide a 2.4m manual revolving door at the main entrance and 7 speedgate kinetic lanes for the access controlled entrance.
The speedgate kinetic offers a high speed entrance solution (1 second operating time) combined with great aesthetics. The access control reader was integrated inside the cabinet of the speedgate and is hidden from view, ensuring the seamless look of the product. Six 550mm wide lanes for regular access and one 900mm wide lane for special needs access were installed. Fitted with absolute safety sensors at low and high level as well as tailgating and wrong direction logic, the kinetic ensures a total solution for both the security and safety.
