Turnstar recently custom designed and manufactured a number of ‘swimming pool’ gates for Virgin Active South Africa. The gates are an adaptation of the Turnstar SOECIAL NEEDS GATE, having a built-in floor spring door closer but with a special patented lock. The lock which is imported from Australia is designed to be extremely difficult for a child to open as it requires a two handed movement which requires a fair amount of dexterity. The gates are manufactured from 304 grade brushed stainless steel and are fitted with 6mm toughened safety glass.
