Turnstar recently supplied a turnstile and special needs gate to the Maugatautari Ecological Island and Forestry Reserve. Mangataurtari is located in the Waikato region in the central North Island of New Zealand. It is the largest ecological island on the mainland New Zealand and covers over 3 400 hectares of land protected by 47kms of predator proof fencing. The TITAN 3/4 height turnstile and special needs gate were installed at the main entrance to the reserve and were critical components in the integration of the revenue collection system for visitors.
Due to the high levels of corrosion, the turnstile was hot dip galvanised and then powder coated – a superior finish for harsh conditions. The special needs gate was manufactured from powder coated 304 grade brushed stainless steel which has great corrosion resistance.
