Turnstiles for the Women’s living heritage monument

Turnstar recently received an order from the contractor working on the prestigious new Women’s Living Heritage Monument in Pretoria. The R150m project aims to provide a fitting exhibition space to showcase the different roles women played up to 1994 in the fight for freedom and equality. It also aims to enshrine and memorialize all the women to took part in the historic 1956 women’s march to the Union Buildings, South Africa’s seat of government.

Turnstar was called in to provide physical access control for the reception lobby of this important and timely building. 3 TRIDENT waist height turnstiles as well as a Special Needs Gate are to be installed together with various stainless steel and glass security barriers (made to measure) in order to close up and secure the entrance. The TRIDENT was selected due to its reliability and good looks, which match this ultra modern monument in the heart of Pretoria.
