When it came to Anglocoal’s upgrade of their weighbridge facilities in Witbank, Turnstar was the obvious choice for the vehicle access control solution. A total of 21 Traffic Master vehicle barriers were procured and each barrier was fitted with a ultra bright LEDD traffic light and various loop detectors in order to integrate and provide a vital role in the functioning of the weighing system. The Traffic Master is manufactured from powder coated stainless steel which provides excellent levels of corrosion protection even amongst the dust of the coal mine. Also, the electronics were fitted into IP65 boxes in order to protect them from coal dust, dirt and moisture.
