What does a nesting for a laser cutter look like?

Turnstar’s 4kw plate and tube laser cutter from Durma in Turkey was the first of its kind in South Africa and has proven to be a great asset in terms of production speed and quality. In order to cut, a plate of steel 3m x 1.5m is placed onto the machine and our drawing department sends through the nesting file which instructs the laser on where and how to cut. Shown here are spikes for a mechanical spike barrier being cut from 10mm mild steel plate.
